Rapid Registration allows school counselors, administrators, or fair coordinators the ability to securely share their students’ information with StriveScan. Once uploaded, the students will be registered for a barcode without the need to register themselves directly.

FERPA - Allowed Directory Information

StriveScan requires a minimum amount of student information for Rapid Registration. This information is considered "directory information" and can be disclosed in accordance with FERPA.

According to the U.S. Department of Education, "directory information" is information that would "not generally be considered harmful or an invasion of privacy if disclosed" and specifically includes: Name, Address, Telephone number, Date of birth, Email address/information

By submitting your student list, you confirm you have permission to provide this information and an authorized individual has given permission to students and parents.

Barcode Delivery

Student Email:

  • We will send student barcodes directly to the email addresses provided.
  • We can send this upon submission of this form or on a specific date.
  • A reminder barcode will also be sent 2 hours prior to the fair start time.

When to Send Barcodes

Students may edit and further personalize the information they share with colleges via the "Update this information" link in their barcode email.

Due to cellular phone carrier regulations and U.S. laws, StriveScan cannot send students their barcodes via text message when using Rapid Registration, only when they register directly with StriveScan and opt into receiving text messages.

Add Instructions to the Barcode Email

Optional: Include additional information to students in their barcode email. Providing them additional context about the fair or why they are receiving a barcode can be helpful.
